Core Beliefs... What Do Messianic Jews Believe?
- We believe that the Holy Scriptures consisting of the Tankh "Old Covenant" and the later writings, the B'rit Hadashah "Renewed Covenant" is the only infallible, inerrant and authoritative word of Adonai "Our God".
- We believe that the Shema, "Hear O Israel, the Lord is one", teaches that HaShem is Echad "One", a united composite unity, eternally existent as a unique uni-plurality.
- We believe that Adonai is a personal G-d who created us, and that He exists forever as Adonai, "The Lord", Ben Adonai "The Son" and the Ruach HaKadosh "The Holy Spirit".
- We believe that Adonai created man in His image and that through disobedience, man fell from his first state and became seperated from G-d.
- We believe that man's only hope for redemption is through the atonement made by Yeshua the Messiah, resulting in regeneration through the Rauch HaKodash, which is new birth.
- We believe that "Biblical Judaism", is the faith of the first century believers, which we seek to practice, and acknowledges continuity of faith in the one true G-d. It is revealed throughout the Holy Scriptures and manifested in "G-d's Son" Yeshua ben Adonai, the Messiah.
- We believe that salvation has always been "by faith", and that works of law, and righteous acts have never saved anyone.
- We believe that the Rauch HaKadosh empowers us, seals us, leads us and teaches us. The in-dwelling of the Ruach HaKadosh enables us to live a godly life.
- We believe in the resurrection of the redeemed to everlasting life. We believe that the lost will suffer eternal separation and everlasting punishment apart from Adonai.
- We believe in Adonai's end-time plan for the nation of Israel and for the world.
- We believe the greatest miracle of our day has been the reestablishment and rebirth of the nation of Israel, in one day, according to prophecy.
- We observe and celebrate the Jewish Holy Days, and The Feasts of Adonai. These were given by Adonai to Israel in their fulfillment through Yeshua the Messiah.
- We acknowledge that the B'rit Hadashah "Renewed Covenant" body of believers is composed of both Jews and Gentiles who have received Yeshua the Messiah as their promised redeemer.
- We acknowledge that the "middle wall of partition" has been broken down and now we worship Adonai, the G-d of Israel together.
- We acknowledge that a central part of Messianic Judaism is the belief in the physical and spiritual restoration of Israel, as taught in the Holy Scriptures.
- We recognize that Jewish people, physical descendants of Avraham "Abraham" through Yitz'chak "Isaac" and Ya'akov "Jacob", whether through the mother's or father's blood-line, who place their faith in Israel's Messiah Yeshua continue to be Jewish.
- We recognize that Gentiles "non-Jews" who place their faith in Yeshua are "grafted into" the Jewish olive tree of faith becoming spiritual sons and daughters of Avraham.
